Alabama football’s running back, Jam Miller returned to the field against Oklahoma after missing the SEC Championship.

Miller was limited in the matchup and as a result, he did not start in the game. Daniel Hill got the nod and finished with the most carries in the game. Miller chipped in 11 yards on seven carries, but all signs point to him being more effective in teh future with the latest health update he provided to reporters on Saturday.

“I’m good now,” Miller said. “I’m 100 percent healthy. Just to be able to be in the game with the team, it’s always a great feeling, just being with the brothers.”

Alabama’s offensive coordinator Ryan Grubb gave his thoughts on how Miller played after the Tide defeated the Sooners in Norman to advance to the Rose Bowl in the College Football Playoff.

“Jam did a good job,” Grubb said. “We tried to keep his reps down a little bit. He and Daniel obviously shared the load back there tonight, and I thought he did a good job when he was in. He’s still nursing back to health a little bit, but he’s a soldier, man. He was out there battling. I thought he did a good job.”

Miller has rushed for more than 80 yards in three games this season. His best game of the year came against Vanderbilt when he rushed for 136 yards. A performance similar to those three against Indiana in the Rose Bowl could be massive for Alabama.
