Georgia Tech has picked up a commitment from former Alabama football’s offensive lineman, Joseph Ionata.
Ionata signed with Alabama as a member of the 2024 recruiting class. He played two seasons with the Crimson Tide before deciding to enter the portal. The redshirt freshman was listed as Alabama’s backup center during the 2025 season.
The Yellow Jackets have now landed two Alabama transfers.
