Alabama football’s defense is expected to be one of the best defensive units in the EA College Football 27 video game when it is released next month.
The Crimson Tide’s defense will be rated an 89 overall. This rating gives the Tide’s defense a tie for the fifth-highest-rated defense in the game with Georgia. Oregon came in at No. 1, followed by Indiana at No. 2, Notre Dame at No. 3 and Texas Tech at No. 4.

Alabama football’s defense is returning several players with starting experience this fall, including Bray Hubbard, Zabien Brown, Yhonzae Pierre, Dijon Lee, Red Morgan and London Simmons. This group also added some impressive talent via the transfer portal, with the additions of Devan Thompkins, Terrance Green, Desmond Umeozulu, Kedrick Bingley-Jones and Carmelo O’Neal.
Unfortunately for Alabama’s offense, it did not crack the top ten.
EA College Football 27 will release on July 9.
