Levi Wallace announced his retirement from football Friday with an Instagram post.
“Walk-on. Undrafted. 8 years. Retired. Not bad,” Wallace said in his retirement post.
The Arizona native walked on to the Alabama football team and eventually earned a scholarship. He took full advantage of the opportunity he earned when he got to play for the Crimson Tide. Wallace finished his collegiate career with 59 total tackles, 4.5 tackles for loss, three interceptions and two sacks before signing with the Buffalo Bills after going undrafted.
The Bills had Wallace on their roster for four seasons before he took his talent to the Pittsburgh Steelers and eventually the Denver Broncos. The former Alabama defensive back wrapped up his NFL career with 334 tackles and 12 interceptions.
