Alabama football will travel to Lexington to play Kentucky in an SEC showdown this weekend, and new Kentucky head coach Will Stein has laid down a challenge for Wildcats fans.
Stein wants the Kentucky fans to make Saturday’s game at Kroger Field to be “the loudest game in the history of Kentucky football.”
“We have to make this the loudest game in the history of Kentucky Football,” he said. “That’s my goal for our fans, the loudest it has ever been. And we need them to be at their best. Like, I want people in the stands for pregame. Let’s have 65,000 watching us warm up. You know, I know I love the tailgate too, but get in there, be loud, make it disruptive for them as they get here…Everybody in their seats cheering as loud as they humanly can. I want people’s voices hoarse when they leave here. All right, they got to take off work on Monday because they can’t talk.”
SEC Nation will be in Lexington, but Stein wants the stands at Kroger Field to be packed with fans even when the Wildcats are warming up.
Alabama football will open conference play on the road at Kentucky. The SEC matchup will kick off at 2:30 p.m. CT, and it will air on ABC.
