A pair of Mississippi State starters are listed as probable ahead of the Alabama Crimson Tide taking on the Bulldogs.

Fluff Bothwell and Isaac Smith are listed as probable ahead of Saturday’s matchup. Bothwell starts at running back for Mississippi State, and Smith is one of the Tide’s starting defensive backs.

Bothwell has rushed for 402 yards and three touchdowns this season. Alabama’s defensive coordinator Kane Wommack expressed excitement about defending the running back he recruited earlier this week.

“This offense, as explosive as it is in the passing game, it’s always really anchored and being able to establish the run,” Wommack said on Monday. “Fluff Bothwell, I actually recruited and signed him at South Alabama when I was head coach and then never got to enjoy having him on my sideline because I came here [to Alabama], but very proud of him and the player that he has developed into. He’s a fantastic running back, one of the best we’ve seen, and just from a physicality standpoint, I think he’s averaging four yards per carry after contact, which is phenomenal. He’s just got tremendous balance and body control, and he plays at a fever pitch in a tempo offense. So, impressed by him.”

Smith has 14 total tackles, one tackle for loss and one pass breakup on the season.

Zakari Tillman, a Mississippi State linebacker, is listed as questionable. Ayden Williams, Trevion Williams and Diesel Moye are listed as out.

The Crimson Tide will travel to Mississippi State to take on the Bulldogs on Saturday. Kickoff is set for 11 a.m.
