Alabama fans want to see him excel, but now the national media has an interest in Bryce Young.

The sophomore is prepared to be the Crimson Tide’s starting quarterback this season. As a former five-star from California, Young looks to be the fifth first-year starter to lead Alabama to a national championship. He had a great spring and is currently going through preseason camp. The 6-foot, 194-pounder completed 13 of 22 passes in 2020 for 156 yards with one touchdown.
According to Caesars Sportsbook, the oddsmakers have Young at No. 3 in the Heisman Trophy race.

He comes behind DJ Uiagalelei (Clemson) and Spencer Rattler (Oklahoma). Rattler has the highest odds to win at +550, while Uiagalelei is at +700. Young, who opens the season versus Miami, carries odds of +900. With a new offensive coordinator in Bill O’Brien, Alabama’s fan base is not expecting Young to win the Heisman. The primary goals are a Southeastern Conference title, advancing to the College Football Playoff, and a national championship.
If he happens to perform well enough for the coveted bronze award, then it would be more added to a great season. Sports betters are showing early belief in Young as a quarterback.
He was a decorative player in high school, but we shall see how he does.
