Brian Kelly is riding high with the LSU fans after earning his first victory over Nick Saban and Alabama.
He outcoached Saban to a 32-31 overtime win at Tiger Stadium last week, putting the Tigers in the driver’s seat for the Southeastern Conference Championship Game and ending Alabama’s hopes for the College Football Playoff.

Jayden Daniels, Tigers’ starting quarterback, rushed for a 25-yard touchdown during LSU’s first possession of overtime, cutting the Crimson Tide’s lead to 31-30. Coach Kelly decided to win the game on a two-point conversion. Daniels found tight end Mason Taylor to convert the two-point try, and LSU fans stormed the field. After handing the Tide its second loss of the year, Kelly got fired up with his team in the locker room. He told his players, “we are going to do this a lot more,” in terms of beating Alabama.
One player asked Kelly, “this is why you came here?” Kelly responded with “Hell yes,” and the locker room erupted.
