The ink has now dried on Irv Smith’s contract for his new NFL team.
He signed a one-year deal with the Cincinnati Bengals Thursday after four years with the Minnesota Vikings.
We have signed unrestricted free agent TE Irv Smith Jr. to a one-year contract for the 2023 season.

Cincinnati announced the news as Smith joins Joe Burrow, Ja’Marr Chase, and Tee Higgins. Smith, a New Orleans native, got selected in the second round of the 2019 NFL Draft. The 6-foot-2, 240-pounder caught 88 passes for 844 receiving yards and nine touchdowns during his time with the Vikings. Smith played tight end for the University of Alabama from 2016 to 2018.

As a former four-star, he exploded with 44 receptions for 710 yards and seven scores in 2018. Smith helped the Crimson Tide win two Southeastern Conference Championships (2016, 2018) and a College Football Playoff National Championship in 2017.
