Despite a good deal of online chatter, the Patriots will reportedly not be pursuing Lamar Jackson.

According to The Athletic’s Jeff Howe, the team is not interested in a trade package for the Baltimore Ravens quarterback.

The speculation originally started when Patriots head coach Bill Belichick did not give a definitive answer as to whether 2021 first-round pick Mac Jones would be the team’s starting quarterback in 2023.

The Jackson rumors would get sparked when world-famous rapper and friend of Robert Kraft, Meek Mill, told Kraft to acquire Jackson and the Patriots owner simply stated that it would be Belichick’s decision.

At the very least it appears as if that decision has been made today.
