DeMarcco Hellams, a former Crimson Tide safety, finished 2022 as the team’s leading tackler (108).

He also had three tackles for loss, a sack, seven pass breakups, a quarterback hurry, a forced fumble, and an interception.
Hellams had a team-tying three interceptions in 2021 for the Tide.
The 6-foot-1, 203-pounder assisted Alabama to a College Football Playoff National Championship in 2020 and two Southeastern Conference Championships in 2020 and 2021. As a native of Washington, D.C., Hellams got taken in the seventh round of the NFL Draft. He was the seventh pick of the seventh round and No. 224 overall.
Louis Riddick, an ESPN NFL analyst, sees Hellams as a major impact player by his third year in the league.
