Beals attends Roman Catholic High School in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He holds 13 offers with his most recent offer from the Crimson Tide. His offer list previously included offers from Virginia Tech, Penn State, Duke and others.

The 6-foot-1 prospect has a nice touch on his passes, and he has shown the ability to make a variety of throws. He flashes accuracy and good ball placement when throwing the football toward the middle of the field and when working outside.
