Nick Saban referred back to his cake analogy when discussing Alabama football’s quarterback competition Wednesday during the SEC Coaches Teleconference.
Saban compared the Crimson Tide’s quarterback competition to baking a cake at SEC Media Days. He has referenced the comparison a few times this season as Jalen Milroe, Ty Simpson and Tyler Buchner fought for the title of QB1. The Alabama head coach now feels the Alabama’s ‘cake’ is done baking ahead of its SEC opener against Ole Miss.
“I think the cake’s been in the oven, out of the oven, back in the oven,” Saban said. “I think it’s ready to go.”
The Crimson Tide will welcome the Ole Miss Rebels to Bryant-Denny Stadium on Saturday. Kickoff is set for 2:30 p.m. CST.
