Jalen Milroe’s top speed revealed on 53-yard touchdown run

Jalen Milroe is growing up quickly as a first-year starting quarterback for the University of Alabama.

He was benched for the South Florida game; nevertheless, the Crimson Tide is 4-1. Milroe has performed well in back-to-back weeks, including an efficient performance versus Mississippi State. The sophomore did not throw a touchdown pass, but he also did not turn the football over. He posted two rushing scores on the Bulldogs, especially an explosive 53-yard touchdown run that dropped jaws at Davis Wade Stadium. People know how impressive Milroe is athletically, but watching it up close is stellar.

According to Reel Athletics, Milroe took three seconds to reach a maximum speed of 20.8 miles per hour on his touchdown run.

He wasted no time exploding up the middle of MSU’s defense and outrunning everyone to the end zone.

The native Texan had a game-high 69 yards rushing on 11 attempts. Milroe averaged 6.3 yards per attempt, helping the Crimson Tide create a balanced attack on offense. He paced the Tide to a 40-17 victory in its first conference road game of the season.
