Nick Saban travels to Jordan-Hare Stadium for the ninth time in his career to battle Auburn as the Crimson Tide’s head coach. He has a team that’s grown up throughout the season, shifting from what people thought was Saban’s worst group to a bunch that will play for a Southeastern Conference Championship next week. Saban heard the doubters, but he also saw those who supported Alabama — regardless of its loss to Texas.

He spoke to fans during his radio show on Wednesday, highlighting his appreciation for one thing they did to help bring the team together after an early season loss.

“Y’all have had great patience with this team,” Saban said. “This team’s transformation has been pretty astonishing to get to this point and create this opportunity.”

Saban is proud of this bunch for making it to an SEC Championship Game; however, hope remains alive for a College Football Playoff opportunity.

The patience from Alabama fans allowed Jalen Milroe to develop into a successful quarterback, the offensive line to come together, wide receivers to step up, assistant coaches to find rhythm, and the defense to play its best football.

Alabama is ready to handle business against Auburn, but Saban is thankful to the fans for hanging tough with the team.
