The University of Alabama did not have a football game last week.
Alabama is waiting for New Year’s Day to face Michigan in a College Football Playoff Semifinal game at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, Calif. The Crimson Tide opened as a 1.5 to 2-point underdog to the Wolverines for some betting sites, but Nick Saban knows his group has something to prove. Alabama played its best football in the second half of the season, capturing its ninth Southeastern Conference Championship in the Saban era with a victory over Georgia. Terrion Arnold, a redshirt sophomore, does not want to wait until 2024 to battle Michigan. The veteran cornerback wants to play the Wolverines right now.

He expressed his excitement on Twitter as he feels weird about waiting until New Year’s Day to play.

Arnold has been exceptional for the Tide’s defense. He ranks third on the team for total tackles (61) and has 6.5 tackles for loss, a sack, 11 pass breakups, two quarterback hurries, a forced fumble, and five interceptions. Arnold leads the team in breakups and interceptions. A native Floridian, Arnold has transformed himself into a first-round pick if he pursues the NFL Draft.
He is focused on getting Alabama to a CFP National Championship.
