A former University of Alabama offensive lineman has found a new program out of the NCAA transfer portal.

James Brockermeyer, a native of Fort Worth, Texas, has returned to a school back home.

He is now committed to Texas Christian University (TCU) as he shared on social media. Brockermeyer, a former four-star in the Crimson Tide’s 2021 recruiting class, entered the transfer portal shortly after spring practice ended. He performed well in spring practice; however, he decided to take his talents elsewhere. Brockermeyer earned two Southeastern Conference Championship rings (2021, 2023) with the Tide during his tenure. Parker Brailsford and Roq Montgomery remain as Alabama’s centers.
