Alabama football got a huge verbal commitment for its 2025 class from a four-star quarterback.
Keelon Russell, a native of Duncanville, Texas, flipped his commitment from Southern Methodist University (SMU) to the University of Alabama on Tuesday. The 6-foot-3, 175-pounder compiled 3,483 passing yards, 38 touchdowns, and three interceptions in his junior season at Duncanville High School.

Russell can make all the throws needed as a quarterback, but he can also extend plays with his feet. The addition of him, especially if he signs, gives the Crimson Tide a room with Ty Simpson, Dylan Lonergan, Austin Mack, and Russell.
Three freshmen players from this recent signing class for Alabama reacted to the Tide landed Russell via Instagram.
