After beginning his collegiate career at a pair of junior colleges, Jackson would sign with Alabama where he would spend two seasons. During his time with the Crimson Tide, Jackson would primarily serve as a reserve cornerback appearing in 21 games recording 14 total tackles, one tackle for loss and one pass deflection.

After the 2022 season, Jackson would enter the NCAA transfer portal where he would join Lanning and the Ducks and became a major impact player in his defense recording 34 tackles and three interceptions.

His impressive fifth season in college would convince the Minnesota Vikings to spend the eighth pick of the fourth round in the 2024 NFL Draft where he was expected to be a key rotational player.
