Alabama wide receiver apologizes for ‘weak-ass song’ comment

Alabama football’s wide receiver Germie Bernard apologized to the Crimson Tide football team after comments he made after win over Wisconsin.

Bernard spoke with media members after the 42-10 win and commented on Wisconsin’s jump around tradition.

”We were ready to shut that weak ass jump song down,” Bernard said.

Kalen DeBoer revealed Bernard apologized on Monday.

“I didn’t realize until yesterday and actually Germ did come in, and he owned it,” DeBoer said Monday during his press conference. “I didn’t even bring it up to him…The emotions and excitement of the game and all that, unfortunately you some times say some things that he has to comment on, and he actually wanted to say something to the team. We want to be first-class, and we slipped up a little bit there. He addressed the team yesterday in our team meeting, and everyone knows who Germ is and respect the heck out of him.”
