In a segment from Friday’s episode of First Take, Smith revealed to Elle Duncan — an Atlanta native and Georgia fan — the pressure that is on Alabama to win on Saban Field at Bryant-Denny Stadium versus  Georgia.

Smith believes DeBoer needs a victory to cement his arrival to the Southeastern Conference.

“If DeBoer wants to set the record straight that there’s a new sheriff in town, and his name ain’t Nick Saban, this is the moment to do this,” Smith said.

DeBoer wants to show he was the right hire, but Kirby Smart looks to prove he does not have an Alabama problem.

Is Alabama under more pressure to beat Georgia? We will see how the Tide handles the moment.
