An Alabama native, Williams has a chance to return to Sports Center’s highlights this weekend. He heads to Neyland Stadium in Knoxville (Tenn.) for an opportunity to add his name into the “Third Saturday in October” rivalry against the Volunteers.

Williams had success against Georgia, catching six passes for a career-high 177 yards and a touchdown. Alabama earned a 41-34 victory and Williams put his name with Julio Jones, Amari Cooper, Calvin Ridley, DeVonta Smith, and Jaylen Waddle as the sixth freshman wide receiver for the Tide to burn Georgia. He could become the fourth freshman receiver to total 100-plus yards in a matchup against Tennessee. Jones, Cooper, and Waddle all recorded 100-plus yards receiving as freshmen versus the Vols.

Cooper had two touchdown catches in 2012, while Waddle had a touchdown in 2018.

Alabama freshman WRs with 100-yard games versus Vols

-Julio Jones: 6 catches, 103 yards (2008)

-Amari Cooper: 7 catches, 162 yards, 2 touchdowns (2012)

-Jaylen Waddle: 4 catches, 117 yards, 1 touchdown (2018)

Williams has two 100-plus yard performances versus Georgia and Western Kentucky.

He leads Alabama with 23 catches for 576 yards and six touchdowns.
