UNLV lands former Alabama wide receiver

One of the more decorated recruits in Alabama’s 2021 recruiting class will conclude his college football career in the Mountain West.

On Thursday, former Alabama wide receiver Jojo Earle transferred to UNLV. The news was first reported by 247Sports’ Matt Zenitz and Chris Hummer.

Earle began his college career in 2021 with the Alabama Crimson Tide. The native of Aledo, Texas spent two seasons in Tuscaloosa. He played wide receiver and was a contributor on special teams as well. He reeled in 24 receptions for 303 yards and two touchdowns with the Crimson Tide. Following his sophomore season, he entered the transfer portal and ended up committing to TCU.

In two seasons with the Horned Frogs, Earle hauled in 23 receptions for 276 yards and three touchdowns. He played similar roles at both Alabama and TCU. Now, Earle will look to close out his college career on a high note as he joins a UNLV squad that finished the 2024 season with an 11-3 record. He will be playing under an offensive mastermind in Dan Mullen. That should bode well for Earle as he will provide speed and athleticism to Mullen’s offense in 2025.
