Alabama’s coaching staff has been stopping in to check in on some recruiting targets in the 2026 class. One of the targets that received a visit is running back target Carsyn Baker. Alabama running backs coach Robert Gillespie stopped in to see Baker at his high school on Thursday.

Baker earned an offer from Alabama in June after an impressive performance at a summer camp. The Georgia native landed the offer after a conversation with Kalen DeBoer and Gillespie.

“It means a lot, knowing Alabama is a school that produces good backs, and they believed in me,” Baker said. “Alabama is just a winning school with a good coaching staff, good facilities, and they have a lot of hardware.”

Baker is a 6-foot-1, 195-pound tailback out of Langston Hughes High School in Fairburn, Georgia. During his junior season, Baker had 145 carries for 1,282 yards and 13 touchdowns.

In Baker’s senior highlights, he is seen running well behind his pads and getting downhill at a quick rate. He was an integral part of Langston Hughes’ offense in 2024 and will look to do the same during the 2025 season.
