Former Green Bay Packers wide receiver, James Jones had some harsh criticism for Philadelphia Eagles quarterback, Jalen Hurts after hearing his post-game comments towards the Eagles’ head coach Nick Sirianni off the heels of defeating the Washington Commanders in the NFC championship game and advancing to the Superbowl.

Jones did not hold back when assessing the former Alabama quarterback on Tuesday during Fox’s sports talk show “The Facility”.

“It ain’t rocket science, you’ve been playing weak dawg, straight up,” Jones said. “When you take the field with the Philadelphia Eagles right now, they say ‘who you want to beat you?’ Jalen Hurts. Stop Saquon (Barkley), stop A.J. Brown, defense gone do they thing. Let Jalen Hurts beat you. You ain’t been balling and all year long your coach has gotten up there and had your back. And right here, to me, what I took out of it, a straight jacket means somebody you back dawg, if you say that.”

Jones said this in reference to Hurts’ post-game comments on Sunday when the fifth-year quarterback made remarks about Eagles head coach, Nick Sirianni.

“He did a great job,” Hurts said. “I guess he let me out of my straight jacket a little bit today.”

Hurts scored three rushing touchdowns and threw for a touchdown on 20-of-28 completions and 246 yards passing. Jones didn’t mince words when he continued dissecting the Eagles quarterbacks comments after Sunday’s victory.

“You know who else in a straight jacket, Smitty (Devonta Smith) and A.J (Brown),” Jones said. “Who holding them back? They getting in trouble for reading books on the sideline but they been in straight jackets all year long. Nine games in a row, you threw for 200 yards twice dog, and barely throwing over 100 yards. And you sitting up there talking about you in a straight jacket? Them other dudes in a straight jacket.”

Regardless of comments and constant criticism by media for lack of stats, Hurts continues to record the most important stat of them all, that’s winning.
