Darryl Bell visited Alabama football for the first time Saturday, showing some reciprocity after Alabama visited him last Friday.
Bell is a 2026 four-star defensive back out of Florida, and he is currently committed to the Florida State Seminoles.
The FSU commit enjoyed his first trip to Tuscaloosa.
“It was a good first-time experience,” Bell told Touchdown Alabama.
Alabama offered Bell in October, and he shared he was ‘amazed’ by the offer and liked what he was seeing from the Tide under Kalen DeBoer at the time.
“It’s an amazing program, and they have proven to people that they don’t need Saban to continue greatness,” said Bell.
Alabama wants Bell to keep his eyes open and look at his other options as they plan to continue to recruit him.
“Their message is ‘even though you are committed, to keep your eyes open and make sure whatever you choose is right for you, longevity wise,'” Bell said.
At 6-foot and 187 pounds, Bell is a ball-hawk at safety, who can make plays on football with a great feel for timing the snap when applying pressure while blitzing. He feels his ‘physicality’ and his high ‘IQ’ will make him a good fit for Alabama’s scheme.
