Alabama center Parker Brailsford spoke with the media on Thursday morning. The redshirt junior believes that the team has bought in more this offseason than last and provided an explanation for why.
“I feel like guys are buying in a little bit more. I feel like last year, Saban had just left so some guys were a little iffy on DeBoer at first,” Brailsford said, “Now guys are realizing that we can go do something special this year.”
Brailsford is one of the few players that has played in multiple seasons for DeBoer. The Arizona native played for DeBoer at Washington and will finish his college career with DeBoer at Alabama.
His take is interesting considering the struggles that Alabama had over the course of the 2024 season. It will be interesting to see if the team is truly bought in and committed to returning to the standard that fans are accustomed to seeing in Tuscaloosa. It is a standard that features success in both the regular season and postseason.
Brailsford will be an integral piece of Alabama’s offensive line in 2025. He started every game for the Crimson Tide in 2024. His experience and leadership will be very valuable as Alabama looks to put a better product on the field in 2025.
As Brailsford noted, players seem to be buying in to DeBoer’s vision and are aware of what the team can achieve in 2025. Both could go a long way for the Crimson Tide as they aim to improve from a season ago.
