Terrion Arnold has been arrested on armed robbery and kidnapping charges in Tampa, Florida, according to Dave Birkett of The Free Press.
Arnold is a former Alabama defensive back, and he currently plays in the NFL with the Detroit Lions.
The NFL defensive back was arrested on four counts of armed robbery and four counts of kidnapping on Wednesday. His arrest came after two defendant agreed to plea deals in a kidnapping and assault case.  They allegedly committed on the crime on Arnold’s behalf. Arnold surrendered to a warrant.
The charges carry a potential sentence of up to life. Arnold is denying any wrongdoing, according to a statement.
“There is no credible evidence linking Mr. Arnold to these allegations,” Denise White, CEO of EAG Sports Management said in a statement. “Instead, the government appears to be relying on testimony from multiple convicted felons who have admitted their own involvement and may have substantial incentives to shift blame in an effort to lessen their sentences. Mr. Arnold looks forward to his day in court and is confident that the judicial process will lead to his ultimate vindication.”
