Alabama football is expected to go up against a group of talented signal-callers during the 2026 college football season.
Touchdown Alabama identifies and takes a look at the top five quarterbacks the Crimson Tide will face this fall:
1. Marcel Reed – Texas A&M
Reed is coming off a season where he once looked like a Heisman contender. He finished the 2025 college football season with 3,169 passing yards and 25 passing touchdowns, while completing 62 percent of his passes. He threw for three touchdowns or more in five games and rushed for more than 40 yards in four games last fall. His dual-threat ability makes him a difficult quarterback to defend. However, he did have a problem protecting the football last season, finishing the year with 12 interceptions. He threw two interceptions in each of the Aggies’ last two games of the season. Alabama will take on Texas A&M on Oct. 24.
2. Gunner Stockton – Georgia
