Alabama transfer tight end Josh Ford could quickly begin making an instant impact throughout his first season in Tuscaloosa this year.

Ford is a talented tight end who thrives as both a run and pass blocker. The junior has reportedly made a major impact across the majority of fall camp, and Ford has consistently challenged the defense on a regular basis during practice.

Ford recently took a moment to reveal which Crimson Tide defenders talk the most trash, as the junior claims big men London Simmons and Desmond Umeozulu are constantly chirping in his ear.

“I’d probably say London Simmons.” Ford said. “Probably London. Him and Des are pretty good trash talkers. But we all love each other, it’s all just about getting each other better. We had a lot of chirps going on this summer, we didn’t have pads on. It’s always hard to run block when you can’t grip them, so whenever they were able to make a move they were like in my head. They’re great guys.”

Ford will serve a multitude of roles on Alabama’s offense across the 2026 campaign. The tight end’s competitiveness has been on clear display throughout fall camp, and Ford’s healthy banter with the defense is certainly a good sight to see prior to year one in Tuscaloosa.
