Which Alabama players spoke up at halftime in locker room against Kentucky?

Alabama football flipped its game against Kentucky on its head in the second half when the Crimson Tide rattled off 32 unanswered points.

The Crimson Tide trailed the Wildcats 17-13 at halftime, and Kentucky had momentum heading into the half. Kalen DeBoer reflected back on which players spoke up at the half in the locker room while talking to reporters after the win.

“I saw ZB (Zabien Brown) going around,” DeBoer said. “I’d expect that. Felt like Ryan (Coleman-Williams) was calling with his side of the ball, and ZB came over. It’s not always just cranking it up and screaming and hollering. Sometimes it’s just like, calm, cool and collected. And I think guys like ZB got that. And Bray (Hubbard), I saw him, I think, in the third quarter, during the game I saw him over there doing it the right way with the offense too. He’s got their back. Keelon (Russell) went over to the other side and just owned some of the things that he fell short on in the first half that put us in a tough spot. So I think that was kind of some of the things that stuck out to me. I think there were more guys in that too that just caught the wind, getting ready to go out there and knowing it’s not just a two-quarter game, it’s a four-quarter game.”

The Tide defeated Kentucky 45-17 to improve to 2-0 and pick up their first SEC win of the season.

Alabama returns home Saturday to take on Florida State on Saban Field at Bryant-Denny Stadium. Kickoff for the matchup is set for 2:30 p.m. CT.
