The Georgia Bulldogs defeated the Alabama Crimson Tide by a final score of 20-17 at Bryant-Denny Stadium this weekend.

Alabama as a whole was unable to create consistent pressure on either side of the football tonight. The Tide forced multiple fumbles on defense, but Georgia was able to recover the ball each time which ultimately shifted the momentum in the Bulldogs’ favor.

A multitude of both college football fans and analysts have taken to social media to express their frustrations with the officiating throughout the contest as well. Alabama quarterback Keelon Russell took a moment to comment on the refs during his post game press conference, as Russell claims the officiating was clean throughout the matchup.

“There wasn’t any questionable calls.” Russell said. “I got to do my best in getting us into a situation with opportunities. As an offensive commander, I got to do my job and coach Grubb is going to put us in the best predicaments. He’s going to give us the best shots, the best play calls. He didn’t call any plays that were wrong, I just got to do my job better.”

Russell and the Tide scored a season low 17 points against Georgia’s elite defensive unit on Saturday evening. The rising star will undoubtedly need to play at a higher level against Tennessee next weekend, and Russell appears to be taking the blame for the loss to Georgia following his comments.
