Alabama priority 6-foot-3 DB target set to to announce commitment

It is decision day for Preston Glaco.

Glasco is a 2027 defensive back prospect out of Grayson High School in Georgia. He is set to announce his decision at 6 p.m. CT. He will choose between Alabama, Georgia and Tennessee.

The Crimson Tide offered Glasco in September when he unofficially visited the Tide. He was committed to UConn at the time.

“I think they’re a great program with greater people within,” Glasco told Touchdown Alabama after picking up an offer from the Tide. “They play fast and physical football, and that is why they’re a successful team.”

Alabama got him back on campus for an official visit a couple of weeks after earning an offer, and the visit hit its mark.

“It was good,” Glasco said. “The entire weekend was pretty smooth. They took care of me and my family, making sure every question we had got addressed. It was also good meeting with the nutritionist and strength coach, as well as some of the academic team.”

The Tide got Glasco back on campus when Alabama took on Georgia in October, and he enjoyed the love Alabama’s staff continued to show him.

“It was really just the consistency with the love shown and the priority feeling, as well as the crazy environment,” Glasco said when asked what stood out about his latest trip to Tuscaloosa.

Alabama currently has a commitment from one 2027 defensive back in Darrius White.

The 6-foot-3, 192-pound defensive back possesses the frame and length the Crimson Tide continue to show heavy interest in. This length allows the defensive back to have a wide coverage radius due to their long arms. The senior also flashes the ability to be an effective tackler when he comes downhill to help in run support.
