In the eyes of Marlon Humphrey, there is one “DBU” and it is not the University of Texas.
I can’t tell what DBU stands for right now

To earn the nickname for Defensive Back University, a program has to have a secondary that locks down the best receivers in college football and renders quarterbacks to nothing.
Neither of those two things were accomplished by the Longhorns against Louisiana State University on Saturday night, as Joe Burrow torched them for 471 passing yards with four touchdowns in a 45-38 win for the Tigers.

Texas is far cry from having the likes of Earl Thomas, Quentin Jammer, Nathan Vasher, Michael Huff, Cedric Griffin, Micahel Griffin and Aaron Ross in its secondary. The Longhorns were good in the early to mid 2000s, but hold off on the DBU talk for now.
After seeing some signs on College Football GameDay referring to Texas as having the best defensive backs, Humphrey quote tweeted the post with saying “Cut it out Texas.”

He makes a good point, seeing how he played for an elite group in three seasons at the University of Alabama from 2014-16. Humphrey redshirted his initial freshman year, but he provided big plays for a defensive backfield that recorded 35 picks – including 10 returned for touchdowns in 2015 and 2016 combined.
In both years, the Crimson Tide held quarterbacks to completing just 52.1 percent of their throws.
Humphrey had five career interceptions himself as was part of a College Football Playoff National Championship team for the Tide in 2015.
