Has Nick Saban killed two birds with one stone?
It appears to look that way. Alabama is expected to bring on David Ballou and Dr. Matt Rhea from Indiana to improve its strength and conditioning program. With the success both have had in modern sports science and conditioning athletes, media pundits are referring to the move as a “homerun hire” for the Crimson Tide.
Upon hearing the news, Dylan Moses is very excited.

A native of Baton Rouge, La., the talented linebacker and former five-star did not play last season because of a knee injury.
Along with him getting a second chance at his junior year, Moses will be reunited with his coaches from IMG Academy.
Both Ballou and Rhea worked with Moses during his senior year in 2016. While Ballou was the program’s head strength and conditioning coach, Rhea was the head of sports science. Moses had 116 tackles that year – including eight tackles for loss and two sacks. He won the Dick Butkus Award for top high school linebacker and went on to enroll in Alabama’s 2017 signing class.
Moses posted a photo to his Instagram story that captured his excitement.
The duo of Ballou and Rhea will look to not only put an end to Alabama’s injury, but also help steer the program back to being feared on defense.
