Georgia is in the midst of a quarterback competition, but Jacob Park will not be a part of it. Parker was granted a release from the program on June 11, and plans to visit Alabama this weekend, according to ESPN’s Joe Schad. Parker has three years of eligibility left.

Park, who stands at 6-foot-4, 202 pounds, redshirted his freshman season last year. He is a native of Goose Creek, S.C., who enrolled at Georgia as a four-star prospect in 2014.

Park was rated as the No.2 quarterback nationally by Rivals.com and 247 sports. He threw for 3,665 yards and 33 touchdowns in his senior year at Stratford High School.
