We are only in the month of June and Alabama picked up its 19 commit of the 2015 class earlier today. Blake Barnett is a four-star dual threat quarterback from Corona, Calif. Barnett plays football at Santiago High School. In his junior year at Santiago, Barnett threw for 2,332 yards, 22 touchdowns and 12 Ints. Blake is 6’4″ 200 pounds with a 4.85 40-time and 30′ inch vertical. Barnett is also a strong guy, he bench presses 240 pounds and squats 375 pounds. Blake Barnett was committed to Notre Dame earlier in the year, but de-committed from the Irish because he felt like he committed to early. Barnett picked Alabama over Oregon today. In a quote today Barnett said “When I went down there, I absolutely fell in love with coaches, with the school itself. I think Alabama’s the place for me. I think it’s the place that’s going to develop me as a person and as an athlete.” Barnett participated in the Elite 11 and is a Under Armour All-American.
