S&S Show: Alabama vs. Tennessee Recap

The prodigal son return to Knoxville, Tenn., two weeks ago. Alabama’s offensive coordinator Lane Kiffin was greeted with lustful boos, but he left a winner. Blake Sims and Amari Cooper established an early connection. Sims threw for 286 yards and totaled three touchdowns. Cooper caught nine passes for 224 yards and two touchdowns.

Sophomore quarterback Joshua Dobbs gave Tennessee fans hope. He tossed for 192 yards and led the team in rushing with 75 yards. The Volunteers recorded 181 rushing yards and outscored Alabama 20-14 in the second half.

Alabama’s defense created huge stops down the stretch. The Crimson Tide established a run game late and went 11 of 15 on third down. Alabama defeated Tennessee 34-20.

Touchdown Alabama Magazine’s own Scott Hodnett and Stephen M. Smith were live on the S&S show Wednesday recapping Alabama vs. Tennessee. Hodnett and Smith both discussed key moments in the contest.
