The Alabama Crimson Tide picked up a huge commitment this afternoon when Morganton, NC running back B.J. Emmons announced via Twitter he officially rolled with the Tide.

Emmons, a four-star 5-foot-11 225 pound back out of Freedom High School originally committed to the Georgia Bulldogs but reopened his recruitment over the summer and has found a home with Alabama.

The commitment comes at a great time as Alabama is expected to lose both Derrick Henry and senior Kenyan Drake after this year and will be needing as much depth as possible for a team who prides itself in pounding the ball on the ground.

With his frame, Emmons should expect his fair share of carries if he lives up to what he currently displayed so far in high school in which he rushed for over 2,300 yards and 30 touchdowns last season alone.

His commitment makes the 18th for the Tide. Stay tuned as we follow up with Emmons on his decision to commit to the Tide.
