Alabama football team receives 2016 Southeastern Conference title rings

John David Mercer-USA TODAY Sports

The bling has arrived.

Following last week’s spring game, the University of Alabama football team was in for a major treat on Monday – as its championship rings from the 2016 Southeastern Conference title game arrived.

Players and coaches donned the latest hardware, while dining on the annual steak and beans dinner.

Behind true freshman quarterback Jalen Hurts and a ferocious defense, the Crimson Tide went through the 2016 regular season undefeated. It handled the Florida Gators 54-16, to earn its third straight SEC championship. Although the focus this fall will be to win a College Football Playoff national title, a couple of Tide players decided to post photos on social media – showing off the latest achievement under Nick Saban.
