Former Alabama inside linebacker Mack Wilson has just been drafted by the Cleveland Browns with the 155 pick of the fifth round. Wilson now joins a Browns roster which is littered with talent and is expected to make a lot of noise in the 2019-20 season.
During the very early NFL scouting period, Wilson was looked at to potentially be a first-round selection just like so many great Alabama players before him. But due to an extremely deep defensive class and a 2018 season that didn’t really pop on film, Wilson slid all the way to Saturday.
During his final season at Alabama Wilson totaled 65 tackles, 4.5 tackles for loss and a pair of interceptions.
