After a loss in the national title game back in January the Associated Press has ranked Alabama as the no. 2 team in the country behind the defending national champion Clemson Tigers.

Behind the crimson tide is Georgia (no. 3), Oklahoma (no. 4) and Ohio State (no. 5) to round out the top five.

This is the first time since 2015 in which Alabama has not been ranked as the number one team in the AP poll leading into a season.

Just like the last five seasons it seems as if Alabama and Clemson are on another collision course to see who will take home college football’s crown.
