Alabama QB commit, Bryce Young, shows passing ability on national stage

2020 5-Star quarterback and Alabama commit, Bryce Young, put his impressive passing ability on display in Mater Dei’s 53-24 win over St. John’s High School live on ESPN Friday.

Which 2020 commits can make an immediate impact for Alabama?

Young finished the game with 416 passing yards and 5 touchdowns on 26 pass completions.

The Alabama commit started the game off hot as he went 4-of-5 for 54 yards on Mater Dei’s opening drive. This drive was capped off with a Young touchdown pass on 4th down.

It did not take long for Young to strike again as he led Mater Dei’s offense to another score on their second drive. This time, he hit Kyron Ware-Hudson from 10 yards out to give the Monarchs a 14-7 lead in the first quarter.

Young’s third touchdown came in the third quarter as he found CJ Williams on a corner route to give Mater Dei a 27-21 lead, but the best was yet to come for Young.

The Alabama commit hit Cristian Dixon with a strike for his next score to push Mater Dei’s lead to 34-21.

With his latest performance, Young has 19 passing touchdowns on the season and 1,688 yards.
