Alabama’s 5-Star athlete commit, Drew Sanders, can be seen playing all over the field on Friday night for the Ryan Raiders and it is easy to tell that football is in his blood.
Football has always been a staple in the Sanders’ household. Drew’s father, Mitch Sanders, was a football coach during Drew’s younger years and currently coaches at Ryan High School. It was evident early on, it was going to be hard to separate Drew from football.
“He rarely missed a coaches’ meeting on the weekend,” Mitch Sanders said. “It started early. He always wanted to go with dad, it did not matter if the meetings were six or eight hours long.”
