In a post to social media, Alabama wide receiver Jerry Jeudy will forgo his senior season and enter the 2020 NFL Draft. He is the fourth member of the Crimson Tide to announce a decision on his future and joins right tackle Jedrick Wills as the second member of the team to enter the draft.

“I want to give thanks to my family, the coaches, my football brothers, all of the staff, and our die-hard fans that have made the time that I spent at the University of Alabama a great one,” read Jeudy’s post. “Being able to play the sport I love alongside some of the greatest people in the game, has been a blessing for me. I will forever represent the Crimson Tide.

“With that said, I am officially announcing that I will be declaring for the 2020 NFL Draft. Roll Tide!”

Jeudy has the fourth-most receptions in Alabama history and also ranks fourth in receiving yards and second in career touchdowns.

He is widely regarded as one of the best receivers in the draft and was applauded by head coach Nick Saban for playing in the team’s bowl game against Michigan.

“For Jerry to go out there and play the way he did and be the MVP of the game and have over 200 yards, certainly he used this opportunity to showcase his ability,” said Saban following the Citrus Bowl. “So, it probably even enhanced his opportunities at the next level.”

During Alabama’s win over the Wolverines, Jeudy caught six passes for 204 yards and an 85-yard touchdown to start the game which led to him winning the Citrus Bowl MVP.

“I played football all my life, so I couldn’t just sit out there and watch my team play and my brothers be out there,” said Jeudy. “So. I just wanted to go to war with my brothers like I’ve been doing the whole season. I love playing football, so I just wanted to come out here and compete with my brothers.”
