“My time in Tuscaloosa has been special, but I reached a point in my career where I have to make a decision about my future,” McKinney wrote in his post. “With much thought and consideration, I would like to announce that I will be declaring for the 2020 NFL Draft.”

The Roswell, GA native led Alabama in tackles in the 2019 season with 85 and was also named to the All-American third team by the coaches and Associated Press.

McKinney reportedly received a first-round grade from scouts which was likely the deciding factor for the safety.
