Alabama has been without its most experienced defensive lineman LaBryan Ray for some time now, but during his Wednesday teleconference head coach Nick Saban had a quick chance to give an update on his injury.

“He’s starting to practice. This is the type of thing that he needs to develop confidence in, but he’s making good progress,” Saban said.

The injury Saban is referring to is Ray’s hyperextended elbow which has caused him to miss the previous three games. In past updates, Saban had mentioned that the team would consider holding Ray out for an extended period of time so the injury does not linger.

Now with Alabama coming off its bye week along with its game against LSU this weekend being delayed, it seems like it is finally the time for Ray to try and get back into the swing of things.

In 2020 Ray has seen action in three games where he has recorded 11 tackles and 0.5 sacks on the season.
