Brian Branch has the mindset of the Alabama football fans.

The Crimson Tide will open its season against Miami on Saturday, Set. 4, but Branch is ready now. The sophomore defensive back posted his excitement on Twitter. He has worked hard all offseason and is looking forward to helping this defense become a dominant group. Branch flashed big-play potential in 2020; however, he eyes an opportunity at more playing time.

He totaled 27 tackles, seven pass breakups, and two interceptions last year.

Nick Saban could have the best defense of his coaching tenure, and Branch wants to make it happen.

Chris Owens, a sixth-year player, shares the same anticipation as his teammate.

He responded to Branch by saying “Me too Brian! Looking forward to seeing you out there with your teammates this season!” Whether he is a starter or not, the Tide must have Branch on the field more. He possesses the ability to create turnovers as well as make life difficult for quarterbacks to complete passes. Some feel that the Hurricanes will have the Crimson Tide on upset alert, but Branch and Alabama have other ideas. The matchup at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta will be fun to open the campaign.
