Alabama’s student-athletes that accompanied Nick Saban at SEC Football Media Days had his back in Atlanta.

Bryce Young, Will Anderson, and Jordan Battle heard the comments Jimbo Fisher of Texas A&M made about Saban in the spring, but they are focused on handling business on Oct. 8 at Bryant-Denny Stadium. Anderson, a junior outside linebacker, said “when we play Texas A&M, everything will be addressed then.” The Aggies handed the Crimson Tide its lone regular season loss in 2021.

Leon O’Neal Jr., a former Texas A&M defender, ripped Anderson on Twitter for his comments. O’Neal recorded nine tackles — including five solo stops — a sack, a tackle for loss, and a pass breakup in the Aggies’ 41-38 victory over Alabama.

He quote tweeted Anderson’s statement, “Bruh had one tackle last time we played them … but talk yo shii gangsta.”

Anderson had more than one tackle in the matchup. He totaled six stops, but Anderson is prepared for a marquee performance against Texas A&M in Tuscaloosa.
