Alabama football is making sure its defensive secondary returns to a “No Fly Zone” in the fall.

Justin Woodall, a former Crimson Tide safety, has his hands on training several Alabama defensive backs. As a 2009 BCS National Champion, he has been with Kool-Aid McKinstry and Malachi Moore this offseason. McKinstry, a Birmingham native, produced a team-high 15 pass breakups as a sophomore. He made several All-American teams as a cornerback and punt returner.

Moore, a Trussville (Ala.) native, recorded 31 tackles, 1.5 sacks, five pass breakups, and returned a blocked punt for a touchdown in 2022. Both players bring experience in the secondary. Moore helped the Crimson Tide to a College Football Playoff National Championship as a freshman in 2020. McKinstry looks for his first national championship ring as a collegiate athlete.

Woodall had both putting in agility, footwork, and lateral quickness drills in the sand.
